Saddlebags on my Rattler

Post by Buckshot77 »

Check them out here. I put new bags on the Rattler this weekend to make my commuting life a bit easier.

Enjoy,
Rick

I love the look of the 3/4 helmets too, but the fact remains that close to 50% of impacts to the head are near your chin... Only a full face gives you a fair chance to avoid the broken jaw. If the statistics were different I'd look into one of those fighter pilot looking jobs :D sweeeeet!

The bags are made by Prima. I'm not sure the model number of them, but they're just a scooter saddlebag. I think they ordered the bag straight out of a scooterworks catalog.

The mounting was pretty straight forward. It has two velcor straps that you loop under the seat and then it has a couple straps that you can hook under the scooter as well. WWW.fenderscycle.com is my local shop. You could probably order from them as I know they brought a couple extra in when they got mine.

a few that I looked at had velcro straps that you put on the side of your bike (on the body work) & the bags had velcro on the back - I didnt like that idea
sounds like yours dont have those right?

Correct. Each bag has a velcro strap sewn to it that attaches to the strap on the other bag. You just loop them together under the seat. Thus far the only downfall I've found it that they cover up the keyhole to my underseat storage. I'm thinking I'll probably cut a small slit or hole in the one bag and sew around the opening to keep it from unravelling, but then I can use my key through the bag. Right now I have to unhook at least one of the bottom straps to move the bag enough to put my key in.
