I came very close to buying the Prima pipe when I had my Buddy in for its 1500 mile service. For the money, it looks like a really high quality piece and it looks very, very good in person. I really like the fact that it's a complete system with header and not just a slip-on silencer.
If my Stella test ride doesn't convince me to move on, I'll probably add the pipe this autumn.

I've got the same question. Do tell. I'll also chime in that it looks awesome on the red Buddy! Heck, any color Buddy!rob_fuel wrote:Since you've got the Prima and your wife's got the stock pipe, I've gotta know...
Which one's faster? Top speed or low end grunt?

Just to be clear - the Prima is that much lighter, right?ScooterTrash wrote:Its at least a 2 pound differenceThisDude wrote:Does anyone know how much it weighs? The stock one weighs a ton.

cooling fan shroud...
I noticed you've removed the cooling fan shroud from the Buddy with the Prima pipe, but not the Missus' Buddy. Is that removal part of the installation for the Prima? Or did you remove it for cosmetic reasons?

Simply cosmetic then?
Must be simply cosmetic then? I'd like to pluck that shroud off my wife's SI. Anyone else done? No ill effects or overheating issues? It's kinda lame, pointing down at the pavement and dirt.....at least point it forward for better, cooler airflow?twharton wrote:The shroud removal is not required to install the Prima pipe.

Re: Simply cosmetic then?
OK, I'm probably missing the point. Is that fan shroud where the fan exhausts the cooling air, or is it where it draws the air?mattgordon wrote:Must be simply cosmetic then? If it is an air intake shroud, I'd think it should be pointed towards the back so as to minimize dust and particle intake.
If it is an exhaust shroud, I'd pipe it up through the floorboards to keep my toes warm in winter ...

Re: Simply cosmetic then?
It IS the air intake shroud that covers (barely) the cooling fan on the right side near the exhaust header. It only fits on one way...pointing down. Took it off tonight, looks a lot better.BlueMark wrote:OK, I'm probably missing the point.
