San Diego: Buddy & Buddies Ride - Aug. 2nd

Post by pcbikedude »

When: Saturday, August 2nd, 2008 10:00am
Where: Motorsport Scooters 4225 30th St., San Diego, CA, 92104 619-280-1718

Details: Let's celebrate our scooter, the Geniune Buddy the BEST scooter on the market today. Get to know other Buddy owners, gawk at the mods, check out the cool accessories and maybe even start a Buddy User Group (BUG) (remember where you heard this phrase first) in San Diego.

You don't have to have a Buddy to participate. So Buddy owners bring your Buddys and buddies!

Ride route here.

Seaport Village/Marina Park, Harbor Drive, Harbor and Shelter Islands, Old Town and Balboa Park.

A tentative date has been set. Saturday August 2nd. I'm working on some details.

Any ideas for a ride route?

That was my post. I'm not sure why it said that I was a guest.

Anyone can ride with us.

Things are coming together for this ride.

August 2nd sounds good,a ride up the coast is always good that time of the year.
Any thoughts on time and a good place to meet that day?
I live in the east county so to go west to meet will take some extra time.

What type of ride does everyone want to do?

Town (i.e. downtown, Balboa Park, Seaport Village, Harbor Drive, we could even buzz the Vespa shop)?

Scenic beach (Fiesta Island, MB, OB, Sunset Cliffs, Point Loma)?

Scenic Ocean (La Jolla, Del Mar...Encinitas)?

White knuckle (Coronado Bridge, Coronado, Chula Vista)?

Old Highway 80 ride. Although it is very hot inland this time of year.

Yeah old 80 is definitly hot this time of year. 110 F in El Cajon today. 108 yesterday. It's a little hot on that route.

I think we are going to have a town ride through Balboa Park, Seaport Village/Marina Park, along Harbor Dr, to Harbor Island back through Mission Hills/Hillcrest and ending at the starting point. I'll get a map published soon.

Flyers are available at Motorsports.

Route has been posted in the OP.

I was thinking stopping for lunch at Point Loma Seafood. How does everyone feel about that? Or, we can ride over to Liberty Station which has various quality no-so-fast-food restaurants.
