Wonder if it's legal on the street

The bug racer from PGO looks pretty cool, it's 500cc, I wonder if it would be street legal in the USA, it's got turn signals, seat belts and such.

Windshield and fenders would be easy. Bumpers might be a problem unless they class it as a "golf cart" in those areas where they are legal to drive on the street. Think of the looks you'd get in Myrtle Beach with your "F1" golf cart!

PS. I want one!
Yes, that is my scooter.
Yes, I wear a helmet and a FIRSTGEAR armored jacket.
No, I'm not embarrassed to be seen riding it.
Yes, that is an NRA sticker on the fender.

Not sure how much, or how fast, but 500cc means it will do 90-100mph probably since most motorcycles of that engine size can easily do 90+

Did I mention it has mirrors and rear view mirror? The thing practically is made for the street! Windshield would be easy to make at a glass shop, but... how would you clean it? No windshield wipers. Make one that works with your foot! Add a pedal that when pressed wipes it clean

You don't need a windscreen in most states, but you would need it to pass crash testing and epa

Not enough ground clearance for what I'd use it for. I still like the PGO one.

Hmmm, have you never heard of the Ariel Atom? There is really not much to compare between the two. ;)

The Atom has plenty of ground clearance for what it was built to do ;)

It was built to make your face warp :D

"Supposed to be" and "IS" is two different things. Rules vary from state to state. Cross the line and you have to abide by thier rules. Years ago I built radio towers and had a cable snap with only 2" to go before it was set. It came down across the cab of my truck. We pulled the cab out but the windshield was shattered. Colorado has a law that there can be no cracks in the windshield where the wiper clears the windshield. Well, being 200 miles from home I just kicked the glass out, so - no cracks where the wiper goes. I got looks from several hiway patrolmen, but never got stopped. That was the coldest 200 miles. It happened the first part of December.

All you need to know about this vehicle is that it weighs a mere 500kg, and has 600 hp PER TIRE, allowing it to go 0-60 in 2.0 seconds. It was featured and raced a lambo on BBC America show Top Gear, and the lambo LOST. It LOST!

Well...

It has 300hp, out of a 2.0 liter iVTECH Honda engine... which is still impressive for such a light body.

but yeah... it definately does not have 1800hp. :)
