ok, i have been spending way too much time on this at work not to post it.

jessica, it looks like we might've found some of the same free zombie vector artwork on the web. :)

eta: i have all the original artwork so if you want to use it, let me know and i can make it print-ready for you.

Now we just need to find a place that can make that into a good vinyl sticker.

I can get patches made if there's enough interest in them. I'd need to make a 50 patch min. order, but I'm totally willing to do so if you guys want them. Anyone? I know I do.

Hmm...guess this rules out getting "zombie" as a personalized license plate. Dang...I liked that idea.

A) I'm interested in both a sticker and patch
B) I think it needs the word "official" or something on it so when the inevitable happens, ppl will get out of our way and let us do our bid'ness. Also I'm pretty sure this would give us some kind of solidarity with cops and such, ya know, "Do you know how fast you were going on that sidewal...oh I see, I love the work you are doing, please have a nice day." "Thanks officer...Screeeeetch, vroooooooooom."
sorry I got carried away

That's an awesome artwork! Only one thing - any possibility of adding something like a silhouette of a scooter rider, on the Buddy, holding a shotgun? Unless ramming a Buddy into a zombie is all SPAZers need to do to annihilate them :)

i love your graphic, as is, and i'd pay big bucks (well, small bucks, really) to get both a sticker and a patch. thanks for your hard work and efforts, rx. the previously un-named and unorganized group of scooterists working towards the annihilation of zombies commends you!

met this nice couple Todd and Moira at amerivespa, they do patches:

http://www.modernsuede.com/

If you're lookin' for someone, give the biz to scooterists, I always say.

I can sell them on commission at scootmoto.com if you don't want to deal wit shipping/mailing (although i think modernsuede could handle that, too.)

I'd get a patch but would prefer a decal... but I'll buy either one or both. I'd just love the decal to put on the scoot.

I want both as well, I just haven't been able to find a reasonable cost low minimum order for quality vinyl stickers. If anyone comes across something, I'm down for it.

Check with MB member ailienmeatsack. He's been getting some pretty good decals for the Dead Bunny Scooter Club and not charging much for them (so I assume he's getting them at a decent price). He has even had reflective ones made.

i thought about something like this but I thought the artwork would get too busy. if ya'll are really interested in making that happen i'll see what i can do, but i don't know how quickly i could turn it around.

and i think this might go without saying, but i am most definitely interested in both a decal and a patch.

also, i assume that we'd be selling these to cover costs and not to make a profit - most of the artwork i did myself but i can't take credit for the actual zombies. while the guy that made them said they were free, i assume he wouldn't be cool with people using his artwork for commercial purposes.

I felt it prudent to give this thread a BUMP! It would be a shame for the the idea of SPAZ to lose it's momentum and then we all live in regret once the zombie invasion begins.

(Plus, we all really have some work to do to catch up to HeadTaps in posts!) :P

even though this was intended for bicyclists, i feel that it applies to scooterists too. this is what spaz can be fighting against! via slog.

That is a VERY good point. FF is now required, at least during an outbreak, for all members of SPAZ

I'd be happy to facilitate getting patches if no one else is. And I will check with my vinyl guy but I think he is limited to 1/c materials.

I need to check with my patch source and see what his cost per unit would be. It's quite a bit more complex than my DBSC patch.

Will check back in with pricing on patches...

First I think we need to nail the design down. I have some ideas to help make it more legible when stitched. But I don't want to step on anyone's toes design wise either.

I am expecting quotes from 3 places via email... and we can go from there.

Nice work, RX!

For some reason Scooter Patrol for Annihilation of Zombies bugs me a little. Too clumsy.

Regardless, put me down for a sticker and patch!

Also: if you add zombies, don't add too many. Maybe another one or two small ones in the bottom left. Too many will overwhelm the scooter sihouette, which is already partially obscured! Just my thoughts!

I'd rather see something like:

Scooter Warriors Against Zombie Evil (SWAYZE--think Patrick Swayze would mind?).

Oy, I don't mind being a Spaz... nor many other names that I can be called. But I never want to be likened to... Patrick Swayze... man... I'll take the guys cash, but other than that, nooooooo thank ye! :bleh:
