How about this.
Who is the youngest member?
Oldest?
Furthest west?
Furthest south?
furthest north?
Furthest east?

First to own (date of purchase) and still have the original Buddy?

Highest mileage?

I am none of these things but am curious...

Paige. She got her Buddy June 14, '06, five days after the forum launched. (No, I didn't know this off the top of my head. Just went back to the first page of posts…)

I'm going to guess that Bonegirl's got Alix beat on mileage now.

As for oldest, I know we have at least a couple septuagenarians. (Uh, one recently sold his Buddy and got a GTS, though.) Youngest? I know we have at least one high school student here. I'll let them come forward if they want.

I am sumitting myself for the furthest north in the state of Utah. So far, at least in the thread, I am the oldest at 47.

Furthest west?
Well, I live on the left coast, but I doubt that I'm "Furthest West". Especially since I know that Pdxer lives a slight bit (couple of miles) west of me.

And at 5000 miles, I'm not the most miles by a long shot....

  • - PCB is younger than me.
    - Lou76 is further west than me.
    - Howardr is further south than me.
    - Keys is further north than me.
    - Sunbunny is further east than me.
    - Keys has more miles than me.
And that's just in AZ.
And I'm old enough to know better, so in AZ I may be the oldest.

I didn't realize how much of Maine is more East than Cape Cod, I figured I would be the Easternmost Buddy owner. Anyway, I'm on Cape Cod, in Harwich.

I might be the oldest since I was born a few years before the Korean war started.

I might not be the furthest south (latitude) but I do live close enough to our southern border that I can sit down for a delicious dinner in Mexico at 8pm and be back in my house in the US by 10.

I don't have the highest Buddy miles but I do have around 250,000 m/c & scooter miles combined over my riding lifetime. I've ridden on a couple of continents, in six different countries: USA, Italy, Spain, Greece, Mexico & Japan and in or through at least 20 different states.

I'm not furthest west longitudinally speaking but if I ride more than 4 miles west from where I live I'll end up in the Pacific Ocean!

And trivia for you Portlanders. I was among the first group of ten or fifteen employees to be hired at the first McDonalds in the state of Oregon. That was back in the day of 15-cent hamburgers, haha! Do you know which McDonalds was the first to open in Oregon? The one on Beaverton-Hillsdale Highway just west of Jesuit High school and SW 91st. It opened in 1964. :D (I was riding a Honda Dream 125 at the time).

I've never been on a scooter forum on which an argument about the boundaries of the midwest did NOT break out, so why should this one be any different.

Did you know Maine is closer to Rio De Janeiro than Florida?

I'm the farthest west in the city of Chicago, unless someone lives at O'Hare Airport.

I'm probably the oldest Scooterworks customer on this list, I've had stuff on backorder since 1995.

I think there is someone who was having a Buddy shipped to Hawaii . I wonder where they are.

We got our first Buddy on June 17, 2006, But b/c we just sold it, disqualified! Does Paige still have hers I wonder?

Does anyone have more miles than Bonegirl?

16?? I love it. I cannot imagine behaving myself enough at that age to ride safely. My hats off to you guys/gals. Where are the old timers? I want to be inspired that have many more years left.

Jacksonville is pretty "southern", sometimes not in the best ways. It seems like we are southern Georgia at times.

Heh, I ride past that McDonalds every day. I always thought the one on Powell Blvd was the oldest. I think its at least the oldest McDonalds that still has its origional building. Though they built a modern one right behind it....

I would be 60!

Got the Green Hornet Bud 07/11/08 and have 900 miles on him.

My partner is 47!

He got his Italia last weekend and has 77 miles on it.

We live in east Dallas inside the LBJ, so we're not far from anything.

Dang, I'm only 53.

I bought Redbud in May 2007. We have 3100+ miles together.

My house is right at 5000 feet, so maybe I'm one of the highest? Probably not, with all the Denver people.

Maybe the most handsome. No, we've got Leeroy J.

I work on the 3rd floor of an office building. But I think somebody else works on the 19th floor.

I know. I have 5 kids and 1 grandson. Who has more?

Happy birthday to me, happy birthday to meee, happy birthday deeear Deeeennis, happy birthday to me! That's right, today I am 62. Took off work to see what it would be like if retired. So far, so good.
Maybe I should go out and cut the grass? Nah.
Vacuum the house? Nah.
Clean the pool? Nah.

Ahh, I know what to do. I'm going for a ride! I'll ride the Vino over to the dealership by way of Dairy Queen and see if Budmore is ready, then ride home, wait for my wife to get home from work, ride back to the dealer, pick up Budmore and ride home again. Its going to be a very nice day.

Budmore has about 600 miles on the odometer. A little more really.

Charltons,

I know what you mean. I have a couple of relatives in Jax and a nephew in Kingsland, Ga. I used to spend lots of time over there running hard when Imeson was the only airport and Sonny's barbecue was having their first grand opening. Couldn't beat Cotton's at the time though.

I'm in Weston, Florida (Fort Lauderdale). That makes me furthest south in the thread so far. Any Miami or Keys residents on the board?

And I'm 46, with 1031 miles, so I'm right smack in the middle otherwise.

Yes, rickko, you have the McD thing right. My friends and I bought 19 cent cheese burgers there soon after it opened. My best friend and I had nifty, thrifty Honda 50s at the time.

I test-rode the first prototype Blur (not the GMax that PJ rode to Cincinnati, but the first Blur painted up in grey and orange) and I placed an order a few days later, so I was probably the first person to buy a Blur, but I bought it from Phil in cleveland and had to wait until Slaughterhouse for him to bring it, so other people probably had theirs first.

I think I am the furthest North, on the East Coast.
I live in L/A, the twin cities of Lewiston, Auburn, Maine.
Approximate lat/long
Latitude: 44.0853
Longitude: -70.4742

Anyone wanna ride with me? I'm more than a quarter century old (+9) to be exact.

My other mileage is 22, 669. I think that *might* put me in 2nd place.

I'm about as Southwest as you can get. Although, there are other Tucson buddy owners who are further south than I am. I can be in Mexico in an hour and I can be at a diner located at over 9000 feet elevation that's just 35 miles from my house.
I turned over 2,400 miles on my Buddy today.
