Today, my GF and I took a trip to Illinois to travel the Great River Road.
We arrived a the ferry crossing and had to wait as there was quite a few cars in front of us
Once we crossed the river we decided to take the scenic route to the next ferry crossing. Great views and lots to see en route
Our next ferry ride was very quick (and free, by the way) We hit Hwy 100 and headed west to Pere Marquette Park
After a slow cruise through the park it was time to hit the GRR
All this riding made us quite hungry! We rolled into Alton and stopped off at Fast Eddie's We ran into a Vespa owner, a pretty cool dude. Here is purple 150LX
We got our eat on really REALLY cheap!
We jumped back on the GRR and headed to Grafton to catch the ferry back home
149 awesome miles covered today. We had a great ride!

We had a blast! Made an all day ride out of it.
Yes, I have a GPS installed on my Buddy. It is a Garmin Zumo 550 motorcycle GPS. It is installed to the handlebar and hard wired directly to the battery. I had to cut a notch in the plastic pannels in order to install it properly. I also had to use a grinder to grind down the RAM Mounts mounting post as it was too tall. Once I ground about 1 inch from the bottom of the post it was good to go and fit just right. The mount is solid as a rock. I will, however order a longer RAM extension arm (6 inch) in order to bring the unit further forward.
