quick question

Post by mandyscoots »

sorry if it's a repeat...But at this point what question on ModernBuddy isn't a repeat?... Anyways...

I want to get a trunk for my buddy. I was told that to do that I also need to get a wind sheild. Is this true?
Does anyone have a trunk but no wind sheild?
I just don't like the way the wind sheilds look.

You don't need to get a windshield.

Yes that is not at all true - did your dealer tell you that? Curious.

I even have the big Prima bag, which is less secure than top cases, and I am fine with no windshield. I am guessing the logic had to do with...wind? Gosh, I have no idea why someone would think that, actually.

Matching top case and no windshield on mine and it is fine. Though I am hoping that one day soon I will have a windshield it has nothing to do with the top case.

A windshield and trunk are two separate accessories. I think your dealer means if you want a trunk, you need a rear rack. Get black if you'll be mounting a trunk.

Why would someone tell you that you have to have a windshield and a trunk? That is just silly....

I have both by choice, not because they need each other LOL

And would you like fries with that?......not even suggestive selling - downright pushy. You can get accessories or not, your choice. You get to mix and match, your choice. You can even buy a non-Geniune product :)

Why would they need a black rack? I've got chrome and it works fine.

I did buy a sheet of red rubber as per the instructions in technical library, so that won't cause the chrome to scratch.
