This is about a 15 minute scooter ride from my house. :D The pictures aren't too great; I took them with my cell phone...

I get all excited when i can see snow-capped mountains from the SF Valley or L.A., but this has out mountains beat. Really beautiful and a reminder of all the places I want to scoot but haven't yet.

Here's some pics of our ride up to Traverse Ridge this evening. We met at The Scooter Lounge at 6pm, ate some BBQ at Lon's Cookin' Shack, then headed for the mountain. Very nice little drive.

Utah Lake. Out in the middle of Utah Valley. In Utah County. In Utah. :D
It's about a half hour or 45 minutes south of Salt Lake City.

There was also a SYM HD200 and a couple of MCs along for the ride. The ride was sponsered by The Scooter Lounge which is a great local Genuine dealer. They even bought our dinner! :D

I wish my Stella wouldn't have gotten totaled.

I really wanted to come down and cruise with Dave and the folks at the scooter lounge.

I didn't total it,

a guy in a pickup was nice enough to run over it for me in a parking lot.

It's still ridable around town, but I think a 500-600 mile trip would be too much for it

Provophenia, Sept. 12-13.... ?????

I guess I can go to ScooterLounge's website and see if they have details, but what can you share about this? I might be interested.

I talked to Dave at The Scooter Lounge this evening about Provophenia on Sept 12-13. He didn't have an agenda worked up yet, but should be posting more info on their website in the next day or two. Basically, it is an Olympics themed event, putting up real scooters against some Chinese scoots in various challenges. Probably a fairly early start on Friday and all day Saturday activity. It sounds like it should be fun.

We had a nice evening ride down the The Great Steak and Everything in Provo. Not nearly as many people as last time. Dave bought us all dinner. :D

My nephew from Provo just brought me a Scooter Lounge Shop Shirt - best value scooter shirt I have ever bought!! I'll wear it PROUDLY next weekend (9/12-13 ) at the PA Scooter Rally in New Holland PA. I only wish it mentioned Provo or even Utah on the beautifully embroidered patch on the back.

Day 1 of Provophenia. We did a ride around the Alpine Loop this evening. There were about 30 scooters in all. Ok, so maybe one of them was a MC. But it was a blast. We all stopped at JCW's in American Fork for a hamburger on the way home.
