www.modernbuddy2.com :D

It has a section for Buddy only topics. Also, it is broken up into sub categories so it will be easier to locate relevant topics.

Gee, another empty scooter forum. Every time someone gets aggravated, another one shows up on the net. Lots of them out there with 4 or 5 posters.

buddy ( informal )
noun ( pl. -dies)
a close friend.
a working companion with whom close cooperation is required.
verb ( -dies, -died) [ intrans. ]
become friendly and spend time with : I decided to buddy up to them.
ORIGIN mid 19th cent.: perhaps an alteration of brother .

I think this site meets those definitions. As with all friends and companions some friction arises over time and some separation may be needed. Do enjoy your time.

Dude - why start a revolution?

You're acting like a child, and trying to divide an already small group.

Do you think your site won't create the same issues?

Trust me, I'm a "forum junkee", and you'll find crap on EVERY forum.

MB happens to be pretty good...so play nice and be part of the team. OK?

Try to be part of the SOLUTION, but don't cause new problems, ya know?

A Buddy site (not a forum) WOULD, in my opinion be a welcome site for sure, but no need to cause problems and compete, how about a nice site to "compliment" MB?

The folks running this forum do a pretty damn good job, and your actions are a direct insult to their hard work.

I think it'd be funny to register an account just to say "Man, this place used to be so cool, but now it just sucks. Where is the love? What happened."

Only I can't be bothered.

Well, a few people seem to think it sucks enough to warrant an un-originally titled spinoff.

Folks, there are already other Genuine forums out there, some of which even have real members and useful posts (many of which have links to MB1, but whatever).

Looks like someone else registered on their site and ranted about stuff. I think really, the creation of a second site was a bit silly, but we should just leave it alone and let it be instead of flaming poor texan. I'm sure he didnt mean to make it look like "MB1 sucks, MB2 is better!"

I think a more original name than modern buddy 2 would have been more acceptable and friendly. Naming it the same thing as the original site makes it seem like you are posing it as "superior to the original"

I HAVE BEEN ERASED!

I abided to the registration agreement. I was not abusive, obscene, vulgar, slanderous, hateful, threatening, sexually-orientated or any other material that may violate any laws. I asked some questions, ok..maybe they were a little silly, but NOT offensive!

Because you used the same name, I thought you were just trying to be funny and make a point. Because your main forum page IS exactly what these forums should look like, IMO. If it were mine I would add one MOD forum and ditch the subdivisions. Many scoots use similar parts, especially for mods, and many people have knowledge of different scoots.

But if you're serious, no one will take you as such with that name.

In fact, I wonder if you could be sent a cease and desist order to not use that name. Not an attorney but I stayed at a Holiday Inn Express last night.

Hahaha, wow. I feel sorta bad for him, actually. The only thing different is the lounge? And no Buddy50 spot? I dunno. Maybe if it wasn't called MB2. That would piss me off if I was a new owner actually looking for info.

I've seen this happen with the Z forum I used to frequent. It usually ended up that the creator had no effing clue how to manage what they made without becoming like the moderators they were usually opposing (not that that's what's going on here). Which they wouldn't bring themselves to do. Which = fail for the site. Fun times.

How about the mods here just keep wiping all reference to this retarded new site from existence and we can all pretend it just doesnt exist? I mean seriously, some douchebag really has something up his ass if he has to copy the forum pretty much exactly, only with a far inferior forum system. How about someone just gets away from their computer and enjoys life instead of trying to make a pointless point with this abortion of a web forum that he created?

Hey TT,

I sympathize, somewhat, with you if you intended on creating a forum that would compliment MB. If this was your intent, you obviously realize some of your mistakes base upon this reception, despite your effort.

If you intended to supplant MB with your own MB2, then I have less sympathy for the reception you have received here. Setting yourself up as the "new and improved" competition has come with its own set of problems -- not the least is the name problem.

I think people assume the latter and resent it.

Exactly. I think a different forum name that didn't assume a relationship or direct replacement for MB would have eased the conversation a bit. That is the primary beef.

Yes, folks, name calling is a Posting Guidelines violation, so please find another way of expressing yourselves.

Repeated and willful violation on our Guidelines is about the only way to get banned from modernbuddy.com. 'Cause that's how we run things here.

Skull here's the deal, I simply was making it because I was challenged to do so. The current format of mb1 lumps together buddy topics (which the site is named for) with misc crap like this thread. I got tired of sifting through post after post of crap when I could give two sh!tts about half of it. I was just trying to install HID lights and was having to sift through this crap. So to answer your question, I was first taking the challenge and second showing that it would be quite easy to seperate out the buddy forum from the general topics. I do infact tell everyone I know about the wealth of info embedded in this forum. I like MB1 alot. I think I made my point that threads about random crap are much more popular and should (in my opinion be seperated from buddy related topics. By the way, Buddylicious is a good one.
