Here's a little slideshow of mostly my kitty Digger.
(I wanted to name her "Bender" but she kept landing on her feet.)

This is Pipo. She will pretty much only drink from a faucet or other source of fresh water. She LOVES beer; Shiner is her favorite. We pop open a bottle and she crawls all over us trying to get at it. She's fond of vodka tonics, too. No, our cat isn't an alky and we don't actually give her beer and cocktails. She just gets to lick the mouth of the bottle. And no vodka!brape wrote:She also will only drink out of faucets, or skanky puddles in the back yard.
She's also fond of apples, french fries, and leather. Coincidentally, I like all those things as well.

I love cats more than anything...Heres my baby that I rescued from my old garage when she was three weeks old. I bottle fed her and her brother. I almost didn't keep her when I moved but am glad I did...

My previous cat, Peni. She died December of '07.
Wish I had more pictures, she was a beautiful cat.
My Toby, this is when I first got him:
When he is a little older:
...hmm, now that I look at these pictures, maybe he is narcoleptic?
Nowadays he has put on a few pounds, don't
really have any recent pics except the big one
on the "who are you in real life" thread...

I'm glad you have cat-specific furniture. A lot of people don't realize that cats need real cat domain. I believe they call it "vertical territory."
Since Zoe is a totally indoor cat (except when I'm brushing her on the patio), she spends 23.75 hours a day in the house. It dawned on me that my house really is her world and her comfort/territorial/instinctual needs are quite important.

Thanks... they use to dearly love being on the screened in porch, sitting atop their ladder perch. It was so easy to make and they loved it. As Dia has gotten so old now, she never climbs up it anymore. All she does is sleep underneath the heat lamp!fhujay wrote: How pretty are they? I love the picture!

Thanks........ they are a joy and brighten the darkest day. In the "war" pic, they're just playing. RARELY have they fought. They are about 3 years apart and the oldest (Pakkah) will be 8 in July.KRUSTYburger wrote:haha, Derrick those pictures and captions are hilarious! Everybody has such pretty cats!

you guys have such cute cats!
i have a couple too, one is a little "special" cause she was dropped down three flights of stairs when she was two days old by her mom (who apparently didn't want her nest in the living room).

Aw, Frankenweezer is so cute!!! Tabbies are my favorite, I got a possible new addition to the fam!
The feral cat we feed had kittens (or at least 1 kitten). He came right up to me and mommas nowhere
to be found, hopefully she comes back soon... LOOK HOW CUTE!!!!
trying to squeeze through my fingers:

Good news on the kitten! Unfortunately the momma never came back all day and I was really worried so I picked up some formula and a newborn cat/dog bottle. He would NOT drink it for anything! I managed to force a bit into his mouth which he had to swallow, but not much. Luckily a friend of mine (also scooterist) has 2 cats, one just had 6 kittens and the other had 1 kitten. After we tried for a good hour with the bottle we gave up and brought him over to my friend's house and the momma started licking him and with a little assistance he was chowin' down! The cats actually take turns feeding the kittens which is great so one more free-loader won't be a big deal .
Also my kitten is probably 2 weeks older than the others, so he doesn't exactly "fit in". My friend will come home and see him and be like HOW IN THE HECK DID THAT ONE GET SO BIG?! haha, will he be confused...

Every single one of these photos are so precious...please keep them coming!
As a volunteer at an animal shelter I am obligated to make a pitch: Please when considering a new pet check with your local animal shelter or rescue organization first. People looking for purebreds can find one at the species specific rescue shelters, and after a puppy mill raid many local shelters are full to the rafters with purebreds. This is not to mention the many great mixed breeds you can find at shelters. Also, apart from cats and dogs many shelters have rabbits, fish, birds, and ferrets in need of good homes.
Thanks for reading. Back to the scooting!

More pictures? GOOD IDEA!
I've adopted both the cats I've had from the county animal shelter. Except the 5 that are in my house right now!!!
I've given them tentative names for the time being... The black one is Louie (after Louis Prima),
the smaller stripy one is Garth and the slightly bigger one is Wayne, I call the cream one Pepper.
The lighter tabby is TJ O'Pootertoot (who I am keeping) and Louie (he is a snuggle bunny)...
Party on Wayne, Party on Garth.
Pepper, Wayne, & Garth
Louie and Garth are so sweet.
Pepper loves the camera!
They are from a feral momma, sadly we had to take them from her because she was teaching them
to be wild and run away from us. I trapped her and got her fixed yesterday, and despite being
a huge ordeal for her she seems to be doing really well. She didn't even run away when I opened
the door and walked out. As for the kittens if anyone in the area wants one, they are adoptable!
