Post by ScooterTrash »

I'm posting this thread for people like me who have too many mods to list in a small space.

Thread rules:
Post pics of your mods (if you can) and a description of what it is

No asking for DIY's or for any other help, if you have a question go to PM's

Keep all of your Mod's to one post (edit later for update's) you can post that you updated your earlier post

I will get the Ball rolling in my next post

Well, I plan to add mine soon... I just have been in a whirlwind of non-scooter-related busyness. :?

Also I've got a couple more small "mods" that I'd like to do before I take the time to get all photojournalistic on you guys.

Well I don't think I'll ever be "done", but it's a real mess right now. Just been really busy and scooting around like a madman and generally abusing
the Bud. I at least need to clean it up or something. I could make a list of stuff I've done with no pictures, but that would be worthless.

Here's my short list:

Image
Painted foot rests

Image
No more chrome insert

Image
Painted rear turn signal housings and black rear rack

Image
Stebel Compact Nautilus air horn

Image
Silverstar headlight (that's the OEM bulb, tho)

Image
Deadlights to running lights/flashers

Image
LED rear turn signals

I suppose I should be upset, even feel violated, but I'm not. No, in fact, I think this is a friendly message, like "Hey, wanna play?" and yes I want to play. I really really do.

Besides painting the footrests black, all I've done is painted a few little hardware pieces (screws and bolts) a snazzy anodized purple color. I like it kind of a lot actually, and I'll probably do a few more. Been thinking about doing it to the front chrome badge thing, but I don't know how much I'll like that...it might be overkill?

Windshields and racks count as mods too! I'm surprised how striking the purple bolts are, when you were describing
them I was like what the heck is he talking about, but I really like it. I think it especially looks good with the seafoam. :D

And I got one more mod done today, painted my rusty mirrors! Those Zuma mirrors are going back up in the attic.
Now I'm just waiting on my tires and I gotta find a gasket for the Prima and I'll be set!

Only thing I've done so far is added the rear rack and a cargo box.

I like the idea of painting the foot rests and rear light housing black. Might have to look into that :)

ScooterTrash: I'm intrigued by the center-stand pin, but haven't figured out the (obvious?) benefit of it. Can you elaborate?

Here's my little touch on my BlackJack...was begging to be done.

Very sharp, friend. I really like your LED underlights. Have to admit that you've got me thinking maybe I should've gone with red instead of cold white like I did. Very cool looking scooter you have there.

Chrome racks and rails, front fender & headpiece
led underlights and deadlights wired for running lights
next thing is to work on some forward lights and mirrors to tip the hat to the mod 'quadrophenia' style
