They were from installing the windscreen. I didn't like the way it looked so i removed it. I'm thinking about installing speakers, so they use the same bracket.
thanks. It sounds amazing. It sounds like a hog! Its pretty cool it louder than most bikes. I really enjoy the faces bikers have when i puu up next to them. they usually cant believe its a scooter.
I think it adds a bit on the low end. Its a little peppier. I'm not sur how it is compared to the prima. I havent heard or ridden one yet. I decided on a pipe around the time prima offered the pipe for the buddy, but opted for the yoshi because of their reputation and look compared to the prima.
I have to admit that i stole the idea from you, but i think it looks great. I saw your pic and though it a great idea and looked good too. I did the blackout myself, but had the wheels and front done over at maaco. i got a good deal and it didnt cost more than $80.

I've never heard of any evidence that those things actually work. For all we know, they are deer callers. But they are very effective at keeping UFO's away ... and polar bears!

Be careful, I put mine in backwards and the deer were chasing me!
Very cool looking bike... I really like the way it looks! However I don't think I would want a pipe that sounds as loud as a hog's does.. I once added custom pipes to a 750 Yamaha, and I eventually took them off again because I found the added (very) loud sound actually made the ride more tiring!
Now if that Yoshi pipe only added a slight change in the exhaust's tone, I would try to get one. It does look cool tho...
thanks. I personally love the loud sound. Its a real head turner. No one expects it to come from a scooter. Its pretty funny looking at people reaction to it, especiallly the bikers. It sometimes makes them angry that my little buddy "out-roars" their monster hogs!

that sounds like something i'd personally love. did this custom-job have a lot of work entailed? would it be do-able for a non-mechanical "likes noise" enthusiast to replicate?

I just checked the Yoshi site and I don't see any Buddy pipes, did you have to custom install or does one of the other manufacturer's pipes fit the Buddy?
*edit
Nevermind. BTW, can you link the pipe that you bought?
