Tulsa vs OKC - July 12 - Stroud, OK

It's OKC vs Tulsa Sunday with the crew from Tulsa Scooters and the people from Atomic Brown Scooter Shop cruising Route 66 to meet in Stroud Oklahoma for food and fun.

For OKC people, meet at AB at 9:30 a.m. and we'll head out at 10. For Tulsa folks it should be similar. Lunch will be at some buffet called the Ranch House.

My Norman rendezvous has been postponed (thank god! that's a long ride in 100+ heat) so I'll be heading to Stroud with the Tulsa bunch. See ya there, BuddyJ!

It was a fun ride! Even the 100+ heat didn't put us off as we booked from T-town to Stroud to meet up with our OKC brethren (with a short, scenic swing through beautiful downtown Depew, courtesy of our wonderful ride leader Sacha!). It was great to meet everyone and I had a blast!

I do know I do not want to take any long trips on my stock tires (too hard and "slick"). Amerivespa 2010 will see me back on the Michelins for the trip!

It was nice meeting you pugbuddy! The OKC group made it there without too many problems. The ride back, however, saw multiple scoots fall to the heat. The only Buddy having problems was a brand new Blackjack, but quite a few other rides saw overheating, vapor locks, and one CFMoto "motorcycle" broke a belt. Despite all this, everyone seemed really pleased with the event. The food was great and hanging out with the Tulsa crew made for a great time. I hope we do it again.
