Just bought a BLACK JACK!

Post by Lil Buddy »

To bad the forcast calls for rain the next 10+ days :(

As soon as we get a break in the weather I will head out and pick her up.

I already have a list of mods that I want to do (aside from the BOB adapter and LED bulbs all around). Just cosmetic for now, I will try and resist the urge to do any proformance mods

Time for a new avatar, right?
I suppose I should be upset, even feel violated, but I'm not. No, in fact, I think this is a friendly message, like "Hey, wanna play?" and yes I want to play. I really really do.

Congratulations. You will enjoy it. It will quite a step up from the 50. I love mine.

For sure

I'd like to give props to Green Tree Scooters. I had posted that I was looking for a BJack a few weeks back. They contacted me and offered a very good deal. Unfortunately, being a number of states away meant that it would have to be shipped. While they would have done that, it just added to the cost. But thanks GTS for spending the time to try and make it work.

I ended up purchasing it from one of the local dealers here in Washington. Thank you Valley Scooters / Kent Kawasaki.

Way to go Lil Buddy! You know that someday, you're going to have to make a trip down to Portland and ride with several of us.

The same thing happened to me when I got my Blackjack, but you're right to wait for the weather to change for the better first. It's better to take your baby around dry roads for the first few weeks until you get the feel for her.

Happy Scooting :D

I've had very good experiences with Valley Scooters so far. They support the local rallies, they're great about ordering parts, the accessories selection is very broad at the shop, and they have several staff members who ride scooters.

Funny you say that. I chose the name Lil Buddy because the guys I used to work with called the scoot Lil Buddy. When I joined the forum and had to come up with a name, that was all I could think of.

I've thought about changing my name. But it seems weird.

The Buddy 150 is the same size as the 50. The name fits just as much now as it did then. So yer fine!

Just don't ride on new tires in the rain!

Well I woke up this morning to wet roads but blue skies. Forcast called for showers off and on. Called the dealer to make sure the BJack was ready. They were just getting here prep'd. Looking to the East as we drove out to the dealer, I could see the storm coming. Signed the paperwork, fired up the beast...... the rain begain to fall.

I noticed the OD read 00000.7, figured luck was on my side.

Made the 29.3 mile ride home in rain and wind. The roads I took were anywhere between 35-55mph. Hit 55 a few times. A few miles before getting home I hit 60.

Everything about this scoot is totally different then the Buddy 50. The seat, the brakes, the sound, the throttle responce.....everything.

Had a blast in the rain. Can't wait to hit the dry roads!!

Gritty, I will be in touch!

As a non-mechanic BlackJack owner, I have been wondering, what performance mods are there for the BlackJack, other than the Dr. Pulley sliders? I thought it already had the major mods stock, which makes it better than the standard 150.

New Black Jack

Post by MGM »

This must be the season for buddy 50/Blackjack upgrades. Just traded my 6 month old Buddy 50 for a Blackjack. This is actually my THIRD Buddy since October. I bought the first 50 for basic transportation for my son. When I ended up riding it every weekend, I bought my own 50. Now it's a Black Jack upgrade. This has to stop.

Great choice, even with my Stella I ride the Black Jack just as much, over 2000 miles on each one since Nov!
