running lean

Post by rockraines »

If my buddy is running lean, how do you adjust the screw to fix the problem, can you be specific? I was told my Blackjack is running lean because a mechanic could see my prima pipe starting to turn bluish.

If the idle circuit's lean, the screw is on the underside of the carb. You might need to go to a bigger jet, though.

well chrome pipes do discolor but if they didnt upjet when they put the pipe on then you will need to change the jet
pipes normaly dont cause any issues on the idle circut (this is noramly adjusted by a screw but according to the epa genuine has to hide the screw behid epoxy or some sort of soft metal plug)
normaly wiht pipes you have to adjust the main jet and the needle to richen up mid and full thortle

lean is very bad on an ac scooter as its fast but its hot and you will overheat if you are lean and when you over heat you can seize up
