OR it's not meant to go over speeds that a 50cc scooter could pull it (think 25-30 mph).

I once asked ScootBoot about topspeed and they said 40mph is ok.Thats plenty fast if you have a load your pulling.

With these little pull trailers you see behind cars and trucks going 60 or so mph,it must be the wheel/axle/bearings that dictate top speed.

I've looked at these before but I'd be worried about it flipping. I have a very similar trailer on my bicycle and I've flipped it twice and scared the hell out of myslef. On a bicycle its just scary but on a scooter that would be dangerous. I don't know what they have done in the design to make it to were this little trailer wouldn't flip over and so I've shyed away from them. Now to mention the fact that my lttile 50cc scoot doesn't need to try to drag anymore weight around than it already does

i would think a single wheel would work better for such a light bike as a 50cc it would handle much better i feel,,, but still you would not be able to haul as much weight... looks like doing 40mph would be a challange with it on the rear,,, it has no brakes ether...

where did you find that scooter trunk? kinda hard to tell if it's a one-off that someone made for their Vespa or something? or maybe if it's an antique? or...........?

those single wheel trailers can still be obtained I know they're offered through alibaba.com. Not sure of a stateside resource, but those trailers are copies of the PAV single wheel trailer. Super cool, and I want one really bad!

I *THINK* thats a PAV4. They're vintage but are still made in Europe somewhere. I see them on craigslist occasionally in my area. They're beautiful, but semi-expensive.

I agree that the scooter bug is over priced, but the PAV trailers are really hard to come by and once you restore them you could easily have $1400 in them. I'm going to see if my dad and I can make our own. He's pretty crafty and has made larger trailers in the past.
