Heh, I like the Buddy frame too much to do this. Sweet build though :)

I'd rather drop a CH250 Horizontal 250cc engine in my Buddy :P

That's pretty awesome!

ST, your comment just gave me an idea for if my Beo ever gets smashed, but with a Big Ruckus (long coveted by me).

There's a guy across the street from my IL's who's planning on selling his 2006 Big Ruckus for $4k. We were planning on buying it until the layoff. We're hoping we can cajole him into hanging onto it for a couple more months and see where we are financially to buy it! I test drove it last month and I have to admit, it is a sweet scoot!
Yes, it's fast. No, you can't ride it.

WOW man, now it's time to clean up all those wires. Looks great. That is one heck of a stretch. Congrats. I just found out that my carb was all messed up so I switch my bros carb and mine and it woke up. I'm sure the 70mph range isn't out of sight, I just need to find a road that doesn't have cops on it.

yeah i was wondering why your ruckus build wasn't as fast with the 161 kit. I bet you are popping wheelies now. Time for me to take it all apart again so i can do the 161 kit and clean it up.

the prima pipe is $200 and i may wait till december when those prices are low lol. On the other hand, a lot of people are having to weld their prima pipes back together... so as an alternative, i might just get a stock 150cc dirt bike pipe since a lot of people just throw them away and have it welded on lol. I hear they might work pretty nicely

I think I'm the only one to actually need to re-weld them. But I'm pushing my Prima well beond what it's designed for, I'm sure :P

nahh you aren't the only one. Rosa's prima pipe cost $300 and sheared in half... welded it back together, re-broke... and now she's on her 2nd prima pipe which she had to pay for again. at least it was on sale that time. If it breaks im never going to get one

Ahh thats good to know. I've heard of others breaking brackets, but though I was about the only one to actually totally fail one(Well, actually 3....)

They've apparently redesigned them recently though, so that problem may have gone away now.

we'll see  it just sucks that we were stuck with a pipe that was sheared in half and the dealer or prima couldn't at least help us out on the price with getting another one. With that amount of money spent on both pipe, she could be rolling with a top of the line yoshimura  im sticking to stock for now... never heard of people having problems with them breaking 8)

Really? I got *2* warranty replacements very easily. Just asked and they said 'no problem'.

o yeah.. that's david with the reflex swap. his is crazyyy.

the rear shock mount could be a little shorter since the mount set up is really for a long case gy6 engine but the buddy engine is a shortcase. it seems to be holding up very well and it's pretty smooth on bumps and dips in the road
