Hello Everybody,
I wanted to try to get some honest opinions on the Buddy 125/ International suspension.
I'm about to move up from a Vino 125, to either a Buddy International, or a Kymco People 150.
My main concern with the Vino is a slower top speed, as well as a TERRIBLE suspension.
It seems either the Buddy or the Kymco will solve the speed problem, with the Buddy being a little faster, but my question is about the suspension. Which one will be the bigger step up to help save my poor back?
I think I like the Buddy better overall, but those big tires on the Kymco supposedly help with the potholes.
I would appreciate any help you can provide. I'm making a purchase next week!
thanks.

If you're really concerned with suspension then get the Blackjack. It has adjustable sport suspension.
If you're set on the International, I think it is great. Never an issue for me and I am 210lbs and have put over 11000 miles on mine including a trip from LA to San Fran and back.
I can't speak to the Kymco's as I have never ridden one.

I can tell you that, having a Buddy 50 and a Honda sh150, the larger tires do produce a more comfortable ride but they also feel more like your riding a motorcycle and less like your riding a scooter. The Buddy is more fun to ride for shorter distances and the SH150 I could ride for much longer distances, So it really depends on what you want. I'd take both on a test ride and really think about the amount of distance you'll be covering. Remember that you can always upgrade the rear shock as well as having some gel inserts put in your seat.
