looks badass with no front fender. Any problems with that? riding in the rain? Makes me want to remove mine but I do ride in the rain a lot.

I rarely ride in the rain. Too many close calls! If it looks like it will rain, i take the cage. But if you decide to take the fender off, make sure you have something gaurding all the electricals that is behind the front peice of the scooter or all that will get wet.

Hey!
I totally saw that ad on Craigslist (obvious Craigslist stalker/hawker here).
It was such a nice bike! So happy to hear you kept it. I just got mine last night and I am really excited about getting out on the road!
I try and stay limber, swim, run, ride my scooter.

Yeah definitely. There are a lot of riders here in austin. Too bad not everyone who owns a scooter is an enthusiast.

I agree. I'd never been a big fan of that look, but lately it's starting to grow on me. It seems like every bike is different. You just have to pull the fender and see how it looks.

The only thing to top it off now is some lowered forks and some bigger tires!

There aren't any for other bikes that will fit it? I guess there might be but
you'd probably have to lose the headset and rig lights somewhere else...

It rides fine! No need to lower the forks, you'll be scraping everything all up under there going on the twisty's

I like the rear fenderectomy. Have you ridden in wet yet? Any problems with water spray without the rear fender?

Doesn't seem like there would be an issue since it has the tire hugger....

It looks like the front and rear tire are pretty skinny when we go on rides. Does anyone know what the widest tires you can run on front and back without the fenders/splashguard?

I think 100/90-10. At least that's what I have and I know it fits. You might could try a 110/90-10 (if you could even find one), but there might be some rubbing going on... I dunno I never tried it.

110/90-10 sounds great for the fronts when riding over pot holes and such
