So, is this where the Zombie apocolypse starts? One Zombee happens to bite a human and next thing ya know it's splattering time

Similar thing happens to ants... but in this case, a fungus takes over their brains! Just when you thought it was safe to eat a mushroom...

Parasites are really cool :) I can name a whole lot of examples of cool behavioral changes (many are suicidal in nature, some are attractant/repellent sensory changes)

I had started to, but edited it out of the post to keep the thread from being lame <.<
I'll leave one cool one.

Ever heard the saying that pregnant women should stay away from cats, or at least not change the litter box?

The parasite Toxoplasma gondii infects rodents. Rodents are actually attracted to (rather than naturally afraid of) cat urine. Cat eats rodent, and the cat is the main host for the parasite. Cat poops out cysts, which is what's dangerous to pregnant women.

The character "Tommy" in Trainspotting died of Toxoplasmosis I believe, although he was also suffering from AIDS. Irvine Welsh=cool author
The Edge....there is no honest way to explain it because the only people who truly know where it is have gone over. -Hunter S. Thompson
