161cc Fakejack
So, my plan is to recreate a glossy 161cc blackjack-ish clone from my 125cc buddy. So far I've got a stock buddy with a prima exhaust.
The next two steps are the 161cc big bore kit and getting these red grips: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B001RT ... automotive
Additionally, I've ordered these mirrors to give a little bit of a sportier look and due to the overall crap factor of the stock mirrors: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B005DL ... 00_s00_i00
As this will probably cost a little bit of cash.. this is going to take a little bit. I'm also going to get my rims painted red and slap on some whitewalled tires from scooterworks.
EDIT: Fixed Amazon link to mirrors.

Spoke with my shop today as I hit the 500 mile mark (gotta keep up maintenance) and threw on a rear chrome rack.
They thankfully have 161 kits in stock so I can go in and get that installed next weekend and when that is done, we're going to order the white wall tires and red rims.
EDIT: Oh, and I almost forgot. I threw on some yamaha C3 style mirrors. Will update pics soon.

I know a lot of folks like the whitewall tires with the red rims and black paint, but you might want to reconsider due to a much better range of quality tires in blackwall. Since the Maxxis just aren't available anymore in 100/90 10's, there aren't any decent WW options for the Buddy. I think just Conti's and Shinko.
You can still get the WW look with sidewall tire paint (all the links I found were on FleaBay) or white panels that snap on to the tires.
Or, there's this guy's technique. Not sure if it's true for scooter tires:

Sigh.. some bad news.. just after hitting around 1,100 miles and before my full conversion was even done.. the bike is down (for now.)
An hour before the scooter rally here in Austin, I was getting gas and I hit a patch of oil on the road and went down pretty hard.
No pictures yet, but the entire right side is pretty much messed up.. mirror, exhaust, peg, etc - it's all going to need to be replaced if the scooter is structurally sound.

The Fakejack shall rise soon. The shop actually has pretty much everything in stock right now to fix what was busted in the crash. One of the major changes will be replacing the prima exhaust with an NCY pipe. Per my other thread I'd been having issues with it scraping anyways and the NCY pipe seems to have better clearance (very similar to stock.)
Other future mods are going to be painting the rear handle and either getting black rims or getting the ones I have powder coated.

Update!
I now have the scoot back in my possession, but sadly still not 100%, some of the replacement panels that came in were damaged.
As part of the fix, my prima pipe had to be replaced and with that I decided to give the NCY pipe a try and I have to say, it sounds a LOT nicer than the Prima.

ericalm: It feels more or less exactly like my Prima pipe. As I was leaving my dealer last night one of the owners was tweaking his NCY pipe and managed to get an even beefier sound out of it and wants to do the same with mine.
killa_ed: I believe they're the exact same ones that come stock with the 150 buddy. My shop managed to get a bunch from PGO a long time ago before they stopped being available.
Since I'm still waiting for parts I thought I'd play with my passenger pegs and rear rack since they're essentially throw-away parts. I also put my spare Psycho emblem on my new helmet.
