Good on the security guard. Or cop or whatever he was.

I would have fired both of them right on the spot.

rule #1: give them what they want
rule #2: let them go
rule #3: live

Anything else, you are fired!

It was funny though ;)

Call me old school. If that's all they can do, they really don't serve any purpose.

Just goes back to that saying about most crooks not being very smart.

Tackling them in the bank definitely would be unwise, but good for them for getting them outside.

That was hilarious! Thanks for sharing!

Not even a motorcycle, just something above a 50cc.

I'm not even sure about that... dude didn't seem like he knew how to ride it. Maybe they stole it just to use for the getaway... we had a pair of thieves roll over a couple convenience stores downtown on a stolen scoot a month or two ago.

I know the rules are always give up the money and live... but... if I felt I could get away with it and not get myself or anybody else shot, I'd totally full body tackle a dumbass on a scooter.

That is correct. They give the illusion of security to those who need that illusion to feel comfortable.

If they were on public property when they tackled the thieves they could have been arrested themselves for public endangerment and possibly assault as well. If someone was killed during the struggle, the guard could be charged with manslaughter just as if he was one of the thieves. The bank could be sued and they could lose their FDIC/NCUA and possibly their bond.

Let them go! :)

To let the inside guy know he was "ready" most likely or to tell the guy behind the pole that walks out to not mess with him. It doesn't appear to be a misfire from what I see.

Something must have happened before that we didn't get to see or the person with the phone-cam wouldn't have been recording would they?

I dont know but everything in that video looks so fake.Did the crime really happen?

I still like the idea that the 1972 movie "The Doberman Gang" had.Train several Doberman Dogs to do the robbery for you.

i don't quite understand how at least a couple could not have been beat down and apprehend. doesn't even seem like you'd have to beat 'em down much. the guy in the white shirt would start taking care of business on the hi vis crook and then run away! did it twice

they all just scooted away :ninja:
