Tires with raised white lettering

Post by RoaringTodd »

Greetings everyone - With spring coming in a few weeks, it's time to get my Lil' Abby cleaned up and ready for the road. One thing I will need to do is to replace the tires.

Does anyone know where I can find a scooter tire with raised white lettering? I love the look of those tires.

Please don't suggest painting the letters with white out.

Thanks -

RoaringTodd

Is Spring not in March? Not far off but a tad more than a couple of weeks lol.

Have you checked with Scooterworks? They may not have them online but might be able to order them for you if you call them.

A lot of what you see is simply a decent tire, and somebody with a white tire paint pen and some patience. :) It's specifically meant for tires, and you should be able to get one at many auto part places, both online and off, for around $10 or so.

I have never seen scooter tires with stock raised white lettering. I'm not saying that I have seen everything...but I have seen a buttload of scooter tires!

Here's an example from over at MV, done with a tire paint pen.

Not my style, but it does look pretty darn sharp, I must say.

:+!: MB rocks.

Thanks everyone for your help, you've wheeled me into the right direction. Guess a paint pen is the way to go.

When I was a kid (in the 80's) we used the paint pens to white the letters on the fork lifts in the lumber yard I worked in - they looked totally awesome!
