Hmm...time for some good news.

Post by pat.m.ryan »

With all of the terrible tragedies occurring south of the border (well, my border) and having just read through the 'small annoyances' thread, I think it's time we had some good news stories...so share 'em.

It's been raining like mad the last few days, but it's decimated the leftover snow and it's helping to clean off the roads.

Also, my fiancee's theatre company opened their show to a sold out audience last night. Couldn't be happier for them!

I was able to ride my new 'Beo to work in Boulder today. There was some ice and 'ground blizzard' for a mile at a peak, but it will be gone by the time I ride home.

Also...it's Friday :P.

Were you on 93? That highway sure can get scary after Rocky Flats.

Just after that stretch, probably in the exact spot you are imagining right now. If headed north, you go up that big hill/curve, then it says 'gusty winds likely", and then....WIND :P.

It's Friday, and I finally got paid again after a 5-week hiatus.

Did ok in the MSF classroom, hope to be successful on the range this weekend too!

Finally have some sun with warmer temps...no more crazy wind.

My good news is that I survived the recent local flooding without any damage AND next week's weather forecast looks as though I'll finally get some riding in!

I really have to find a way to relocate to FL. One of my favorite places (particularly the Keys). But alas, my wife is not likely (and that's an understatement) to move away from the family, so being a snowbird is most likely in my future.

Sounds like Eldorado. I used to live just north of Standley Lake, and the Dec Jan winds could knock your house down. Miss Wondervu though.

The Beo should be a monster on the Peak to Peak.

I learned that a Yager can make highway miles happen and that it's a wee bit quicker, faster and fuel-efficient than a Big Ruckus.

:D This is the first time in my 49 years of living that I rode my scooter to work, and everywhere else, for the entire week!

This is also the first time that I've ever owned a brand new scooter... One week old... 8)

And yup, it's Friday and I got paid...!

To day I tore down am old Large aquarium that I have owned for many years. a task that was daunting and is now more or less completed. That big tank was heavier than it was 10 years ago. But I am glad it is done. 8) R

I finally started wrenching on my "bugeye" Zuma tonight. So far, it's not quite as thrashed as I thought. Got a good deal on new black plastics for the damaged bits, too! :D

I had a great time at ECC, doing AWESOME STUFF like riding rollercoasters yeeeeeeeeeaaaaahhhhhhhh (despite it being in Jersey, the land of bullshit parking tickets and dead car batteries).

But after being starved of spicy/southern food and sweet tea since thursday, I am safe and home in bed, with my feet up, eating salsa from the divey mexican place 4 blocks away that is my FAVORIIIITE.

Salsa makes me happy.
Salsa.
Salsaaaaaaaaa. Mmmmmm.
