Finally nice weather coming to Chicago area- how about by U?

Post by ScootLemont »

It has been a crappy spring here in the Chicago area but we finally have a forecast that includes several nice days in a row!

It's been chilly - only ONE day has cracked 70 + we have had 6.6" of rain this month (average is 3.55" for us)

For the rest of you people that have winter.... are you getting some spring yet?

Today is OK, just cloudy and was chilly when I left for work this morning.

Tomorrow is my birthday and I planned to celebrate by riding all day with some friends, but it looks like it might be cool and rainy :(

Weekend looks fantastic though!

Here in upstate NY it has been mostly cold... mid 50's. But yesterday it got up to 73. I rode for a few hours in the afternoon until the clouds rolled in for the coming rain. Today, we were mid 50s again, but it is supposed to warm up to the mid 60s for a while starting Sunday.

I was the coldest I had been since a mountain trip on NY day yesterday morning. riding home tonight I nearly stopped to take my jacket off, only I was going highway speeds so that would have been a really dumb idea.

This weekend is set to be awesome, and a random day next week at @90 before returning to normal.

Wonky weather!

Uh.... Yeah .....
I figured after 5 years I should get legal (been riding without a motorcycle endorsement)
I also have picked up some good riding and safety tips so far in the class but I am saving that for a post after I have finished it.

Correction.... According to legendary weather man Tom Skilling, we have had over 8 1/2" of rain.... Most ever in April.

"@Skilling: Not only has this month's 8.58" made it the wettest April, 2013's 17.24" is the heaviest year to date tally to occur thru Apr 25 since 1871!"

I had a bunch of errands to run today and was going to take the scoot because it was suspose to be in the mid 70's today. However it clouded up and then the rain began to pour once more so I took the cage instead.

Weather's been a typical WI spring...some days are great (like today...high 70's!) and then it's rain & 50 (coming Thursday). I've been making it a point to ride any day above 40 degrees and sans precipitation...I really need some rain gear!

Weather here in sunny Boston is looking up. Still a chill in the air early doors, but by the afternoon commute its warm indeed.

Roll on the hot sticky humid summers i say :)
