Liquid cooling works its way down toward the bottom end of the line. The trend was probably inevitable. (So now will Kymco - famous for strange names for many of its models - come out with a competitor called the Dork?)

I'd run one. looks interesting enough. :D

The name is bad for Honda, but not as bad as the Flush, the Squash or the Zook.
At what point does a hobby become an addiction? I'm uncertain, but after the twelfth scooter, it sorta feels like the latter...

Seriously...I've lost count...

Think they'll create a 250cc model and call it the Big Dunk?

Interesting they went with a 'naked' look for the handlebars. Don't usually see them exposed like that on a scooter. I think the Mojito pulls it off better.

If I'm not mistaken the Mojito is a near copy of the Honda Joker.

I would guess not. The styling of the Metro is a big part of its appeal to people who want something that looks like a traditional scooter (but don't care if it operates like one).

Having 3 50cc scooters in an already short scooter line-up seems impractical. I doubt its going to unseat the Ruckus....

Not bad lookin' , but I agree. They must be in competition with Kymco for goofy names.

Add a white stripe, get a skunk...

Run it on alcohol, get a, well you can figure that out.

Actually very clean modern styling. Will appeal to a wide range of buyers. Nice job Honda!

It looks like a re-vamped Spree. At least the back of it kinda does. I don't think it looks bad but a little underpowerd perhaps... Maybe they ran out of ideas in the name department....

Nope...i think the old shadow 90 (aka "joker") did the handle bar better and over all looks better...NOT the chinese knock offs, but the original joker.

Too boxy looking, and the seat doesn't look comfortable at all. Did like the cut-away of the engine internals, don't get to see them in pristine condition like that very often.

Interesting they mention that liquid cooling is a new thing for scooters this small. The Met and the Ruckus have always been liquid cooled, iirc. The last air-cooled 50cc scoot Honda would have sold in the US was the Elite, back in 2001.

Actually the current Honda Metropolitan is air-cooled. Honda made that switch a year or two ago when they dropped the Met's price and moved production to Shanghai.

Looks like it has good storage under seat. Needs more motor, though.

I was thinking the same thing. Somebody once pointed out to me the tiny little radiator on the Ruckus.

Kinda surprised at the negative comments about the style. I thought it looked pretty clean and generally pleasing to the eye. Both conventional and modern at the same time, quite unlike some of Honda's past attempts at "modern."

Too small for my combination of personal bulk and rural location but otherwise looks good.

I agree. Somewhere between Honda 'goofy' and stylish. It looks very business like. You could have that and a Metro for fun.

Of course this is moot when it's not coming to the US anyway :P.

If Honda made a Dunk 150 with the 153 cc motor from the PCX 150 and kept the price around $3500(PCX is $3449) I would be all over it.

The brake/turn signal cluster looks interesting. That's a disc brake up front... where's the reservoir?

the more I see it... I like the utility of its appearance. I like the (mostly) flat seat too. A 125/150 version would make it a very interesting scoot in the US.

It has a cable operated caliper.....Honda has used them before but I cannot remember ever seeing one on a US spec. bike.

The '76 CB125S I owned had it; self-adjusting, too. Maybe they're better now, but didn't inspire much confidence on my part. Aways felt kinda mushy.

Thanks for the memory jolt charlie55.

Yep, you forced me to visualize again and I do remember the setup on the 125.

As you, I don't remember inspiring performance (acceleration or deceleration ha ha) but, knowing Honda, it probably works well nowadays.
