Gifts count? Nice!

$150 in gift cards to my favorite local scooter shop.
$25 for a roadside emergency kit that my siblings felt I needed after the Vespa broke in the middle of nowhere.

Other post-Thanksgiving scooter errata I forgot:

$21 at Amazon for Gummi Pflege rubber treatment and motorcycle jumper cables.
$22 for a CV80 Riva side stand.

EDIT: A friend bequeathed me a Bennie to put towards my 4T. Many thanks. Maybe I'll actually have mine so I can get on with tuning one!

At what point does a hobby become an addiction? I'm uncertain, but after the twelfth scooter, it sorta feels like the latter...

Nachi bearings for a Tomos A35 engine and a CH80 final drive:

6203 (x3)
6004 (x1)
6006 (x1)

Total: $59.85

Still need a 6004UU (x1) and to find out which bearings the A35 transmission cover take. Good afternoon in the garage. Too bad I bought my blind hole puller much earlier this year.

Update: Bought Nachi 6201 (x3), one for the Tomos and two for the CH80.

Add: $18.47

At least you have a sweet new (to you) ride to play with. I'm still waiting on some OE parts for the Zuma I bought in the last Spend-A-Thon.

Definitely a sharp machine! Too pretty to Cannonball it, right?

Garage Day and it was a Battle of the Junky Motors: my buddy's clapped-out LEADER 200cc with a toasted stator, fried waterpump, oil /coolant leaks all over and gnarly output shaft versus my clean-looking 180cc Chinese GY6-A with, to the best of my knowledge without invasive inspection, a busted con rod and a few missing transmission cover bolts. At least now I know why it was a freebie.

Swapping in a running low-mile LEADER 200 into his chassis from a crash-damaged, master-key-missing GT for now so he can ride.

I know the LEADER is the better motor, but for what it will cost to set it right, I can buy some high-zoot bits to stuff in that GY6, add an Ecotrons EFI kit and go 4V too. Still planning on bolting it to that '80 Honda Express II frame, just for laughs.

Just need to figure out if I can order parts before the Spend-A-Thon ends, but the Riva, the Elite and that Tomos are taxing my budget as-is. I still need to pick up the Yager from the dealer before Wednesday to get it counted. So no new bikes this year, but I'm killin' it at the parts counters.

More bearings:

Nachi 608 C3 (x2) : $23.85
Nachi 6000 C3 (x2): $11.20

---------------- Total: $35.05

That covers the remaining Tomos bearings, plus a set to put aside for the other A35 that needs to be rebuilt after I finish this one.

Just picked up the Yager after it's 6600-mile service. Had the OE rollers replaced (which I bought a few months back), the oil changed (provided the filter; it's not a common model for them so I keep a personal stock), the brakes bled and the front fender replaced (cosmetic damage from Scooter Fiesta V and mystery damage to the rear of the front fender).

Total for fender, oil, labor and tax: $195.33

I hope you're at least getting the frequent buyer discount!
Thank you! Thank you! I couldn't have done it without friends who blow up their scooters or buy broken-down bikes (myself included). I admit, I've found a way to make a relatively inexpensive hobby (compared to rebuilding cars) into a somewhat expensive hobby. Still, these little one-lungers bring me great joy when they sputter to life and go on to provide years of reliable service.

Maybe someday, I'll make scooters my job. For now, it's a hobby and I can impose my standards for screwing 'em together right on those who want me to work on their stuff.
At what point does a hobby become an addiction? I'm uncertain, but after the twelfth scooter, it sorta feels like the latter...

Seriously...I've lost count...

Seven mopeds ...that's still manageable...

Well done and welcome to MB!!!!!!
Agreed! Well done, angelamarie81! Welcome to MB. Winning the Annual Spend-a-Thon on your first try is an auspicious beginning if ever there was one. I mant to add my new battery to the total, but I kept forgetting. $95.25, anyway. Cheers to everybody who contributed!

Happy New Year! Y'all ride safe out there.

New stella auto for the wife$3,050 OTD
Tax, registration and plates $251
Helmet, armored trenchcoat, Reflective checkerboard stickers, and rear rack total $720
Handlebar cuffs, e-track, tiedowns, and new floor for trailer to transport two scooters $312.
Engine upgrades to tug: hydraulic dampener assembly $115
165 kit, carb, and polini pipe, ram air filter, tasso HT coil, and timing slider plus installation yet to be determined...but well north of a grand so far.
The smile on her face when I surprised her with the keys: PRICELESS!
