Can the buddy 170i carry a trailer?

Mainly for groceries is what I need it for. Only downside to a scooter is storage :(

There are scooter trailers out there such as the Inder. The Buddy is probably a bit light for a trailer,
but the major challenge would be fabricating a hitch bracket for the scooter.

Between a plastic milk crate on the rear rack, a front rack, a roll bag on the seat, and a bag on the
bag hook - you can carry a heck of a lot of groceries on a Buddy in my experience.

How about panniers? I use mine for groceries, and can get a lot in them. My scoot is a Kymco Like200i, so I end up using my (Dutch) bicycle panniers. They work well, but of course there are many other options available.

I second the above. My 170i with its 35 L top case, front bracket with small Prima roll bag attached, underseat storage and bag hook can carry a LOT of groceries. I like the look of the Inder trailer but as Dooglas says, the Buddy is on the smallish side for such a rig. On a larger scoot such as a 250cc Honda Helix, Honda Reflex, 200cc Vespa, etc. with a proper hitch, the Inder would be great for camping trips and extended travel.

A scoot can haul some groceries.

You can hang 2-4 grocery bags from the helmet hooks on a Buddy. One of my biggest disappointments with the Super 8 is that if you try to do that on that bike, your grocery bags 'fall' inward toward the floorboard, leaving you nowhere to put your feet. On the buddy the bags stay out on the side. It's a huge advantage to the buddy as a functional scooter.

Are you kidding me? "Downside to a scooter is storage"?

Here's where you can carry stuff and a lot of it:

>rear basket, top case, roll bag, bungeed on.

> the floorboard between your feet

>saddle bags or panniers

>grocery hooks

>front basket (on some scoots)

>under seat storage

>back pack on your back
Scootin' for a slower pace of life...

I like the look of that Pav 40 style trailer inder has there...price isn't bad too for steel.

Looks sweet hook to a stella in matching color...

Problem is how the hell do you hitch it to said stella?
I've found no info on doing that.

Basically you have to find someone who can fabricate a hitch.

Therein lies the difficulty, and the reason i don't have an Inder trailer yet ;-)

Where on a Stella would a hitch attach to? Somewhere on the subframe?

This guy attaches it to the rear rack using a home made bracket fabricated from a 3" caster wheel:

If i had to guess, i would say the first prerequisite would be an aftermarket grabrail or rack, and fabricate the hitch to go on that?
