Keep your receipts for what you bought and when you cross back into the US, answer the Customs' officer's questions honestly. Don't volunteer information, just answer the questions. I think you're allowed to bring back $400 without paying duty but that may have changed. Check that before you go.

It's not easy to register a bike from Canada in the US. I would love to have a DR Big (Suzuki DR750), but have yet to figure out how to do it.

I sold a Karmann Ghia to a guy from Toronto who drove it home from little Rhody. I never heard from him again, so I guess he got it across.
