Stella Auto - throttle cable

Post by Anotherbob »

Long story short I need to re-thread the throttle cable through the body of my Stella. Pulling the cable through with the old one ended poorly because I had a cable that was too short and the tape let go.

I get stuck near where the bolt runs through the two body sections.

Going the other direction, I can’t get up the tube.

I tried a fish tape but it gets stuck in the same place as the raw cable.

What’s the secret?

The easiest way may be to remove the horn cast.

For "fish tape" I use string trimmer line. From the behind the horn cast area you can go up to the headset and down and out to the tank area.
