buddy 50 NCY super trans kit thoughts

Post by Meis »

Tossed the NCY super trans kit into the Buddy 50cc Today. Installation was a pain in the ass because my dealer red loctited the variator and clutch nuts.....

I was surprised at the items that came in the kit that I couldn't use, the drive face, the outer variator pulley/fan and the washer.

On the first ride after buttoning it all back together it wasn't as much of an improvement as I thought it would be. Revs start out lower with the 9g weights included with the kit. On my original weights it'll hold 6400 rpm solid until lockout. The new weights start off at 5000 and slowly rise until lockout which was odd to me. Anyone have any input on this? What are the stock roller weights' weight?

The initial accelleration is slower but once I get over 20mph it feels quicker. It also doesn't slow down going up hills so much with the NCY kit on it.
