Can we talk small baskets?

Post by coolrays »

Bought a rear luggage rack for my Eclipse. Now I'm looking for a black plastic or metal basket to mount to the top of it. Metal or plastic isnt an issue as the load would be light. A few groceries, a record or two, a 12 pack of beer. I'll also have a backpack, but I could use the extra space. I love going go estate sales and sometimes pick up a knick knack or two.

Any suggestions? Amazon friendly perhaps?

Thanks!

You can do what everyone else does, steal a plastic milk crate...
Some people can break a crowbar in a sandbox.

Go to an antique store (or one of those aforementioned estate sales) and you can probably find a nice wooden box, something like an old coca cola bottle holder would work well. Then just lacquer it to waterproof it and you'll have the classiest scoot around.
Always ready to ride in the Philly area, hit me up.

Harbor Freight? Goodwill? The alley behind your house?

It's been about five or more years since I first put this on the back of my Buddy, still loving it and many people still ask me if it was an OEM accessory.
http://m.lowes.com/pd_129718-46-GAWA18B ... facetInfo= It does however take a bit of 'trimming' to remove the brackets for it's designed use and it's held up well considering the abuse I've put it through. Prior to that I had an old oversize (13X18X13 inch) milk crate that's bottom began to deteriorate due to age, it had been in the garage since the mid 1970s.
