DIY 9,000 Mile 170i Service Comments

Post by GregsBuddy »

Hi,
Changed oil and filter, Iridium spark plug valve adjustment, belt/rollers/guides.
Oil had 2,200 miles and was clean "looking".
Exhaust valve slightly tight, ~0.0015".
Intake valve slightly loose, ~0.0015".
Plug nice a white.
Old belt: 19.19 mm wide.
New belt: 19.73 mm wide.
Rollers had very small flat spots.
Guides slightly loose.
Next time I'll change the spark plug and drive parts at 10,000 miles. Just not enough wear to change them at 9,000 miles.
What a great scoot'!

Yes, the Buddy is a great scoot! And the spark plug certainly lasts a long time in a 4t Buddy.

Well done. All the Buddy's are great for diy maintenance.
