Custom Paint 170i

Post by jillzybean »

Has anyone ever custom painted their scooter? I have a 170i and would love to see it a shade of yellow... I'm curious how complicated this is and about how much it would cost me. Thanks!!

If you check your local craigslist, you will probably find a local bike custom painter. I don't know the going rate.
-I have seen some pretty good rattle can paint jobs on China scoots, but it takes practice.
-I have done plenty of rattle can paint jobs on bicycles, but I am not sure I would attempt scooter plastics or motorcycle tins.

go on youtube and watch some videos on plastidip...no prep of the plastics required other than washing and drying...when you want to change the color you can just peel it off...also search on here...i found a bunch of people who have painted theirs

Remove the panels yourself. Then do a careful rattle can job, or take the panels to a shop (or a friend) for a spray.

Go to a body shop and say "hey dude, how much to paint my scooter?. That should give you the answer you are looking for. or buy some masking tape and a couple cans of Krylon.
