Any extra tall windshield (and that also protects hands)?

Post by w6euh »

Hi, I've been looking for an extra tall windshield for my Buddy scooter. I would like one that can also protect the hands.
Haven't seen anything like that designed especifically for this particular scooter, but... does somebody know of something that might be adapted?

Suggestions welcome!

Thanks!

Use the search function to find past threads on this. I recall someone looking for the same thing a while back. They ended up with a tall windshield and those hand guards that can be removed for summer.

Hand guards, then...?

Thank you for your suggestion, DeeDee.

I really would have liked the exact same windshield the OP of that old thread referred to.

But it seems that I'll have to shop for hand guards, then.
The ones you pictured apparently need to be attached to the end of the grips, and I would prefer something that don't need such modification.

Opinions about these ones, for example?

Those look like they will work. Easy enough to attach to the mirror base. Looks like they use risers. That might be a challenge seeing how your right mirror is LH thread. Most of the risers on eBay go from an 8mm male to 10mm female.
