Buddy 50 jet question mile high to sea level

Post by DeeDee »

Hello Modern Buddy, I'm looking for carburetor guidance on a Buddy 50. The scooter was bought locally and used in Denver which is a bit over 5,000 feet. The owner has moved to LA, and wants to ride the scooter at sea level. Here is my question: Do I need to replace the carburetor jets? Does anyone know what the jet size would be on a Buddy 50 for sea level? Thank you in advance.

Slow jet is Keihin “N424-74C” line of jets, size #40. Not compatible with the easier-to-find Keihin N424-22 line for “PJ/PE 34/38” series.

Main jet is Keihin “4mm,” stock is size #75,

Thank you tenders, I was able to confirm the current main jet is a 75. I don't have a welding tip cleaner close enough to measure the pilot jet. It's looking like all Buddy 50s are sold with this jet setup redardless of location.
