2009 Buddy 125 final drive oil

Post by Bill61 »

The decal states "140W". Would 85-140W work?
Fill to top of fill plug? Or put the 110 cc in?

85-140W is what I use and haven't had any problems.
I'd put the recommended 110cc in. If you fill it to the fill plug it'll be overfull and you risk the chance of blowing oil pass the seals when it gets hot.

Don't put the full 110cc in, replacement spec is 90cc or three fluid ounces, to account for any gear oil still clinging to the case/gears.

This is true. I forgot about that. Shows how often I change my gear oil...:(
