So I have spark and fuel, but I can’t get her over 7mph and she was over heating when I got it home.

The belt looked fine although a bit dry.

I had my auto Cock go out earlier this year, so my carb is very clean and fuel system is brand new.

Ignition coil looks intack.

Going to check intake manifold, gear oil and vacuum diaphragm. Any other tips would be helpful.

First I would take a look at the rubber diaphragm in the carb, make sure it is fully seated and doesn't have any holes in it.

Then I would check that the spark plug cap is on tight and the plug is in good condition.

Next I would take the variator apart to see how that looks, it kind of sounds like the rollers are banging around.

After that it gets more complicated.

Also, how many miles on the scooter and has it had any other problems or repairs.

One more thing- With the scooter on the center stand what does it sound like if you give it some gas(like 1/8 throttle) and just hold it steady? Does the rattling get quieter or does it stay steady?

CV diaphragm, loose bolt on intake manifold, clogged air intake, or clogged exhaust. Potential clogged fuel filter or tank. Gas cap vent clogged. Also, gremlins.
