Headlight / Blinker replacement for Buddy Eclipse 125

Post by coolrays »

I'm looking to replace my main headlight with a nice, bright LED light, and I was wondering if anyone has any experience in doing so. Looking for a good deal on a good light replacement.

I'm also interested in replacing the 'dummy' blinkers on the front of my scooter with LEDs (yellow?) that are always on. I want to say I saw a thread about it a couple years ago but the Search is coming up short. My Eclipse has the drop down blinkers up by the grips, so the 'normal' blinkers do nothing right now.

Could someone out there guide me through this process? I'm not the most handy guy around but I figured swapping these lights wouldn't be too hard. I just need some advice on where to start. Links to purchase would be super helpful, along with guidance from someone who has done the same.

Thanks in advance!

Here's a shot of my Eclipse for reference.

The dummy blinkers are commonly referred to as deadlights. A search here in the forums will show you a ton of info and options to convert them. If interested in purchasing an adapter for them, click my signature and see what I have to offer.

I have a 2008 Buddy and what's strange is the front turn signals are where they're suppose to be, in the front panel. The mounting holes in the lower handlebar cover are there but there is no evidence that anything has ever been mounted there. Usually if something was attached the plastic would show screw head marks or something but there's nothing. I bought this Buddy used but didn't think to ask about it's history.

As far as the headlight:
