Have you checked to see if there are any eBay or Craigslist postings for your area? Resale value really does vary by geography, time of year, etc. You may be better off waiting for the weather to warm up a bit.
Scoot sounds good, though, and you can probably get top dollar for an '07, whatever that amount is where you live. $2K certainly sounds reasonable to me…
