Synthetic in gearbox?

Post by DO3 »

Anyone have an opinion on using synthetic in the gearbox (post-breakin)? I don't know the inner workings of this gearbox or if any friction is desirable. I do know there are some automatics in cars that do not respond well to synthetics as they require a certain amount of friction to work correctly.

Thanks

The gearbox in the Buddy is simply gear to gear. Not part of the transmission, it is simply a final gearbox to get the power from the transmission to the rear wheel. I am using a full synthetic in my gearbox with great results.

That's the kind of answer I was looking for.

Thanks
