Piaggio MP3 500

Post by MikieTaps »

I was at Vespa Seattle today checking out the sizing on the Corazzo jackets, and they had a few MP3 500's on the floor... These things are RIDICULOUS!!! I highly recommend going to a Vespa or Piaggio dealer and just sitting on one...

Apparently the 500's will go well over 100+mph with ease

They also will lean up to 40degrees while cornering...

I WANT ONE!!!

Oh wait... they are over $10,000 OTD.

Nevermind...

I do like the whole "Mad Max-ness" of the 500. Suprisingly it wasn't as large in person as I thought it would be (that's a good thing). Too bad it can't carry a family of 4

Vespa sells a trailer for these now!

I've said it before and am saying it again: If you have the opportunity to test ride a MP3—even the 250 or 400—I highly recommend it. Really fun!

Why not? I've seen families of 4 on 2-wheeled scooters in Taiwan!
The worst thing I saw was a father weaving through heavy traffic on a scooter with his daughter (she looked to be about 7-8 years old) standing on the seat behind him holding his shoulders.

It is an impressive vehicle, but it always reminded me of Snuffeupagus from Sesame Street. I think it could use Big Bird to come over and turn its droopy frown upside down.
