Filling up a Buddy 50

Post by Perkidanman »

I'm new to the whole scooter thing (i finally joined, hooray!) and i'm not sure if you add oil to gas when you fill it up, like you do with other two-stroke scooters.

Does anyone know the answer to this? I'd appreciate it.

No. The dealer should go through this with you when you get your scooter. There is an oil reservoir which holds about a quart of oil. The Buddy automatically adds the right mix of oil to the fuel. When you get low, the oil light stays on to let you know its time to refill. Use a high quality synthetic oil. My dealer filled it up halfway before delivery. I had to add a quart after around 320 miles.
