FF water bottle thingy

Post by Orange Guy »

It was HOT today and I needed water ... and had to take off the helmet for every sip. So I got to thinking while riding.

Here's the things you'll need:

One foot of 1/4-inch OD foodsafe semi-rigid poly tubing
Rubber o-ring to fit on poly tubing
bottle of water with bottle cap
drill with 11/32 bit

The assembly is pretty self-explanatory. The tubing cost me a dime and the o-ring was 49 cents. I can keep this lid in a zip-lock bag under the seat and it will fit on almost all the bottles out there. Now I can flip and sip at the stop lights.

Now make another one, and tape them to the sides of your helmet with gaffers' tape!

When you're finished with that, figure out a FF-mounted hands-free nacho-to-mouth delivery system.

Good work.

That rubber bit looks like a Vespa fuel tap lever grommet, but I used my last spare one to make my bong. rats.
