Stupid cars...
Well, I fell down today. I was riding in our annual "Frosty Balls, Chilly Boobs" biker poker run today (I don't name these things...) and just having a fine time, when I (along with two biker friends of mine on Harleys) approached one of those stupid round-about thingys. There was a Jeep already on the round-about, but he stopped to wave Steve and Rita through. I went to follow Rita and the guy in the Jeep went. I guess scooters aren't cool enough to stop for. Anyway, I had to lock 'em up and the front slid on the bricks the round-about is paved with. I slid to a decidedly ungraceful stop. Scuffed my new paint a little, but no humans (or me either) were injured during the production.
Continued on my merry way and enjoyed a fabulous ride with some great friends. Wish you could have been there...

Was it a real Jeep or one of the Grand Wagoneer SUV thingies? Most folks driving real Jeeps are good folks while the SUV aimers are blinded by their own importance.
Glad you came out all right.

Yes, that is my scooter.
Yes, I wear a helmet and a FIRSTGEAR armored jacket.
No, I'm not embarrassed to be seen riding it.
Yes, that is an NRA sticker on the fender.

Glad to hear you're ok! Looks like you'll be busting out a fresh new can of Krylon (good job on the paint by the way) Stay safe and wish you many more amazing travels

Thanks for the kind words, everyone. We finished the ride in fine style...none the worse for the wear. Will have a write-up and pics up on my blog soon...a red Buddy among all those Harleys...it tickled me...
Yes, Corsair, the Krylon will be out just as soon as it warms up enough to spray paint.
ECS, it was an older Cherokee...mid-80's maybe...

The local Harley's did their annual New Years Day ride yesterday. I went outside to wave at them and my neighbor saw me and said "you should join them!". I had to admit the vision of that in my mind gave me a grin. Good for you keys.Keys wrote:...a red Buddy among all those Harleys...it tickled me...
Funny though, I didn't see any of them on my morning commute today.

Glad you're okay
Glad you're okay and had a great rest of the ride. I've only had my pink Buddy for three weeks but I can tell you that all of the Harley riders I have passed give me a thumbs up! Not so with some of the other two wheelers I've seen.

We be fine, dear lady, thanks for your concern. Your use of "redbud" threw my feeble mind into thoughts of a possible name; "Rosebud". HOWever, the throaty roar from the SuperTrapp foregoes the possibility of any "feminine" type of name. Unless it's Janis Joplin...
