A guy (another customer) at my first inspection (@391 miles) told me about this site. I am loving my buddy. Just sayin' hi though to everyone.

I was a minute away from getting a new buddy, but then a deal for an almost new 2008 vino 125 came my way, and I couldn't pass.
It's my first scoot so i'm sure it's good enough, but vino doens't have near the owner board as the buddy, so i'll stick here.
They are very similar from what I gather. I do really like the vino blue color.

Yea, I think I did. About a grand. Plus it has a warranty for 10 more months. The rep Yamaha has for it's cycles is very respectable also, so that was part of the decision.
A new Buddy out the door with all included was 3300 range. The vino is 2600 plus the threw in a bunch of extras like a back case and stuff.
With all the factors involved, I thought it was the way to go.
The old owner bought the vino a couple months ago but he is way to big for it. He is getting a 250cc. I am 5'8, 140. About perfect for this size scooter.
Sorry to highjack the black buddy thread....i am jealous! I was going to get the black buddy!
I can still post here? right?

Howdy, fellow BB-rider.
I too own a buddy in black.
I bought it 2 months ago, and have a little less than 1700 b-miles on mine.
If I may, I suggest holding out for the chrome rack. I just got mine in last week, and it looks mighty fine against the black. I had the same dilemna, but chose the chrome because of all the other chrome/silver on the machine. It also matches the Prima pipe quite well.
..........now, if they just made the rocker panels (plastic underside) in chrome, I would be all set. I would do the front fender & the top of the handlebars, but I can't bring myself to like that idea. They just look horrible in my opinion, but I haven't seen them on a machine yet either.
Good luck!

hi SCTSCT. Thanks for making it that much harder to decide. Just kidding. Thanks for the input. I don't think the black one is going anywhere so I can wait and compare the two at the shop prior to purchasing it. I did see some pics with the crome and that looks sweet too. Any way you slice it , the buddy looks good. Note: I am not responsible if you 'slice" your buddy (or your scooter).
