Wohoo! I got her!!(pix)...& she still has friends 4 sale
Here she is! What a beauty! RBC! RBC! Red is the new cool )
Oh my baby!! I *heart* you! Still thinking of a name, and still trying to figure out gender also.. feels like a she though
Here is my Boo Bear on my new Buddy. Doesn't it suit him? He says this will be my birthday and Christmas present for the next 4 years, but I negotiated it down to 1 year.. LOL
My Buddy has friends still awaiting for a good home. Norcross, GA Location (678) 417-6447 ask for Stan or Ted
That's the cutest pair I ever did see
Loading her up for the ride home with the help of my best bud Chris (left), his brother Gus, my sales guy Stan, and my Boo Bear, "Be careful guys!!"- as I stand on the sideline not helping
Stan (my sales guy) helping us buckle her up. We bought the stearing bar thing which was $30 but it really helped strap her down good w/o causing damage to the throttle, ect. I def recommend it for new buyers
whew! the hard work is done, now lets hover around the truck and admire her
Here she is getting ready for bed
And here's to riding 2-up.
Cheers to a new ride, and cheers to the many bumps, bruises and scratch marks in the near future from practice )
Goodnight everyone! I will post more pictures once I purchase my helmet and gear. Maybe even a video. Can't wait till I am completely comfortable riding her.
Vroom Vroom, here I come! riding it like I stole it.

Congrats! Very pretty looking ride you have there. I have to concur you better keep an eye on those two shifty characters checking your new wheels out. They might sneak out at night for joy rides then you will wonder how your Buddy acquired so many miles when you weren't riding.

Congrats! Your smiling face tells the tale...
I can't believe you didn't take it for a quick spin around the block!
Let us know when you ride it - and THEN let's see your smile! (My cheeks were aching by the time I got home from the dealer with mine! 38 mile ride!) I'm surprised I wasn't picking bugs out of my teeth by the time I got home!
BEST OF LUCK!

Hahaha!! I wish I was picking bugs out of my teeth!! LOL... My sales guy made me PROMISE not to ride her anywhere, not even in my neighborhood without a helmet on. So I took the day off of work today to get a helmet..MarkTur wrote:Congrats! Your smiling face tells the tale...

LOL "Shifty characters". They do look like little thieves don't they? One day I will be brave enough to take one of them with me for a ride.newslinky wrote:Congrats! Call Stan and tell him that I said "Shame on you" for not giving you a FREE helmet. My dealer did...and I didn't have to wait for my Buddy either. I hear this is a pretty common practice. You should bust his chops about that...jeez...that's just more torture especially after you had to wait!
Anyway...you can get helmets at good prices online and on eBay. I bought my first half-shell online for $25, and it was DOT....but I will never wear a half-shell again, after reading and going to MSF safety.
When you get your helmet, if you're going to wear one, protect that pretty face with a full face. You might feel silly for a day or so, but trust me, it's worth it. If you happen to crash, the highest percentage of hits are around your jawbone....Just make sure it says DOT on it. (Read the post on buying and fitting helmets - it should be tight - pushing your cheeks into your teeth firmly...but not headache tight.
FF's are not hot to wear, either...I've been riding all day long today in 90+ degree heat, ATGATT, and did not come in to the office all sweaty.
(I won't tell if you go for a quick ride around the block JUST ONE TIME, so you can say you've ridden her!)

I see his point mike, Mark I assume doesn't know what goes into making money selling scoots, dealers are not reimbursed for first service. Some dealers offer free stuff as a perk to get you to buy, it is NOT a requirement nor is it "common practice". Most dealers are still recouping from the lack of scooters so I think giving anything is more than generousMikieTaps wrote:Whoa... hostile dealer! Down boy!Stan wrote:Marktur,

We give free first service and not helmets.
Sorry if thats not up to your standards and
NO! Genuine doesn't reinburse us for the service
But Stan should chill if he wants more business, this is a bad place to get a bad name for yourself

LOL, nah Stan is harmless. He is actually a really awesome sales person. I spent like FOREVER with him the first day I came into his store and he educated me so much about riding. Actually, if it wasn't for Stan I would never have even found the Buddy or the Modern Buddy website.... what a sad day that would have been to wake up and realize the Buddy existed but I had already bought another bike
Stan is cool, and he is very passionate about scooting. Anywho, I took her for a spin today and have videos to post! But have to go meet up with from friends for Dinna, so will post when I get back.

Eric doesn't like it when people refer to themselves in the 3rd person.Stan wrote:Stan doesn't like it when you call him out

That was bad form
and....opened Marktur for the response given.
As far as business is concerned I try to take good care
of all my customers so I don't think a defense on my
part should have any effects on my sales
MarkTur was corrected. I don't think anymore needs to be said about this.

Stan - chill...first free service is cool too...and I didn't know - so I apologize.
All I thought of was that it sucks that she didn't even get to ride her Buddy when she bought it. My dealer got me all set up to make the 38 mile ride home on my new Buddy - and that was my experience, and it was an amazing first ride...I shouldn't have jumped to conclusions about you, though.

It's not a problem! I had no idea that my first oil change was offered by Scooter Superstore and not Genuine. I guess now everyone can appreciate the perks dealers offer us after we purchase our scooter. I hope more people in Lawrenceville purchase Buddy's so I have more friends to ride withStan wrote:Tai,

Seconded. It's 100+ degrees here in Tucson sometimes and I am usually comfortable when I reach my destination. It's a little hot at longer stop lights, but you cool and dry as soon as you accelerate Plus the full face helmet and jacket help protect you from skin cancer or lookin' all leatheryMarkTur wrote:FF's are not hot to wear, either...I've been riding all day long today in 90+ degree heat, ATGATT, and did not come in to the office all sweaty.

Your scooter is beautiful! I saw the red one after I bought my Italia and it would have been a tough choice between the two. I like them both but the red is really nice.
It's cute that you are so happy with your scooter! It took me a week or so to decide that I had made the right decision buying a scooter - but now there's no looking back!!!
Enjoy!

Aww!! Thank you for your support ) I love my Buddy, and I will love it so much more when I am confident enough to get out of my neighborhood and show it off on the road. I found out about this counter steering thing and not so sure about it. Def need alot of practice!.. I love the Italia, they are so beautiful also! )PasadenaSue wrote:Taile84 -
