Awesome ride!

Post by nrg70 »

I went on my first meetup dot com ride ( I hope its ok that I posted that ) last night here in Seattle and it was awesome! We had a serious turn out of Genuine scoots, and I know we had around 20 or more riders in all. Considering this is Seattle, we couldnt ask for a more beautiful evening, and everyone was so nice! I finaly met MikieTapps, and I could definitely hear that Prima pipe! That is what its called right? :D
We made a stop at a local park/public pond alot of us didnt even know existed in our own neighborhoods and then went on to dinner. Sadly, I was on call for work and couldnt stay for dinner, but will definitely make it next time! Anyway, sorry for the long post, it was such a nice ride I wanted to share!
PS I just got my S.PA.Z sticker and got to wear it on my helmet for the ride!

OK. That does it. Now I *HAVE* to come to the next meetup.

It sucks being so far away living in the burbs. Except for all the peace and quiet, and yards, and parks, etc...(I know, not very GREEN to live in a single-family dwelling, hopefully the scooter balances that out)

Of course it is! We're all for riders getting together whatever the reason, medium, etc. :)

I just joined a new meetup.com group in LA but we have yet to ride.

I had a blast too, although the dirt road and a few of those hills were a little scary. I was the guy on the blue Roughhouse who was jealous of your SPAZ sticker. :) I'm picking up my stickers tonight, and will then be ready to fight the zombie menace.

I'm already looking forward to October's ride.

I wish I could, but it's my anniversary tonight. Since I got to go out last night and will probably be heading out to the Westenders thing this Friday night, I'd be a fool to push my luck by asking to head out again tonight. :?

I thought it would be better to post it here for other NW scooterists. Here are the two groups I've ridden with so far:

Seattle Scooter Meetup Group

The Westenders

I don't know the link for the Seattle Vespa club.

Cool, thanks both of you :) So I don't need to know a secret handshake or anything then to come along and ride... I'll keep an eye on those groups for times I can join.
Thanks again!

Ah ok :) I expect princess treatment then!

Thank you OP, for starting this thread. Got me motivated enough to do something about meeting more scooter riders :)
