Woo-hoo!

And there's now room in the garage for both the Buddy and his big sister!

Oh yes, it rides as nice as it looks, too! (The silver paint is a beautiful metal-flake, and there's a 1/8 red pin stripe separating the colors.

2008 Honda Shadow Aero 750cc. Even though she weighs in at 550lbs, she's easy to ride, and just wonderful!

My wife is going to take the MSF scooter course and ride the Buddy with me. Could I be any luckier???

:)

As a life-long two-wheel vehicle enthusiast (own two Harley's & a Buddy) I congratulate you on a beautiful find! You're going to really enjoy the comfort even when riding two-up.

Keep the rubber side down!

Just got back from my Sunday morning ride! This time it was not on the Buddy :( We'll take him out later for a dual ride later so he's not feeling left out.

I took the bike on I95 for the first time...wow! I do feel much safer on this bigger machine - which is surprising, as the tradeoff is the nimble-ness of the Scoot, so there's give and take here...

I don't think I've twisted the throttle more than halfway yet...and HOLY SHIT!!! 750cc's are A M A Z I N G!!! I went 70 mph on the highway, and the motor does it EASILY...no strain whatsoever.

My MC has zero storage on it...I'll go look at some saddlebags later today..but the Buddy still wins for trips to the grocery store, etc. (for now).
I'm feeling a bit cheap now...I still need about $1000 worth of addons and upgrades: windsheild, sissy-bar/backrest for a passenger, saddlebags, and highway bars...but I spent a bunch of money on Friday...so I'll take my time. But, today I will be buying an LED system (blue) to light up the motor and under the fenders at night...that's SEXY! :)

They're both equally fun in their own right, and I'm glad we're keeping both!

I spent 2 very nerdy hours in the garage last night polishing up both the Buddy and the Aero...the chrome, ahh the chrome...ahhhh!

OK, and for the last comment:
THIS IS THE BEST FORUM ON THE WEB BY FAR!

The Aero forum has nice people, of course, but the software sucks, hard to navigate, and there's just a better, friendlier vibe here. (Maybe because I spend more time, but I don't think so...you all are great!)

Dad's coming over later - he's never ridden on an MC before, so I'm looking forward to taking him for a ride.

Awesome.. You will enjoy her, she is a beauty..I am trying to decide on a shadow or buddy myself. I have more MC experience than scooter experience.

The Buddy rides great, and costs about $5k less...but, it's about half the size which means I'm 50% MORE visible on the Shadow.

The Shadow is great to ride around...but the Buddy is easier for quick hops to the store, etc.

Both are fun.

Modern Buddy is the BEST forum, however. :)

That would actually be 100% MORE visible... do the math! :P :D I kid, I kid!

I like your new ride! I saw them at the local Yamaha/Honda MC dealer while I was testing out some helmets. They're really sharp looking.
Modern Buddy is the BEST forum, however. :)

:P

I took my 76 year old dad for a ride today...he was scared and didn't want to go, and we just rode around the neighborhood for about 15 minutes. 4 hours later, and he's still talking about it!

I'm going to install blue leds to light up the engine from under the tank, and also under the fenders...saw one a few weeks back like that, just sitting parked at a restaurant and it looks KILLER.

Oh, I'm having fun!

Don't kid yourself, you're still invisible. Other than that small tidbit of advice, all I can add is enjoy, have fun and ride safe.

Nice bike, hope you like it.

But I can assure you, your bright light blue Buddy is more visible than the Honda no matter how big it is :D

She sounds just like she looks...throaty and powerful...but a bit quieter than a Harley. Perfect to my ears.

Yep, for the first time, I had an a-hole turn left in front of me. Glad I took the MSF class...I saw it all setting up ahead of time, and slowed down 10mph, and had my foot on the brake, hands on the clutch and front brake...so I survived! :)

I think I'm adding a light bar to my "short" list for hopups - adds 2 more big white lights (50w) to the front end.

Thanks! :)

I think one powder blue vehicle is enough for a life-time. Man, did I take some hammering by the people I refer to as "my friends"...now all of a sudden, I'm "manly". Heh....always was!

OK, so first REAL ride on I95 just now...doing 75mph (and getting passed) by everyone..but man, I need a windshield! That was a workout hanging on at 75...I will have forearms like Popeye soon! But it WAS fun for sure!

The front shield on the Buddy sure protects your lower half from the wind!

Very cool bike. I almost bought a Shadow when I bought my Sportster. I just happened to get a killer deal on the Sportster. I love riding my scooter but I couldn't live without my MC. It's great to have both. BTW, as someone already pointed out, your just as invisible to some people on the MC as you are on the scooter.

Yep, I've realized that twice now in 2 days...in fact, maybe MORE invisible than on the Buddy.

Wasn't Christmas on Friday?

:P

Mikie - I sat on a Ninja while I was waiting around...wow...kinda like sitting in an Indy Car!

Zero storage, though...zero.

But I can easily see why you all are so hot for them...even the little one's are cool.

Naaaaa....we have the most unique color scooters in town! I STILL have not seen another on the street from any mfg. in our colors. That's kinda cool! :)

Tonight my wife will ride the Buddy and I'll follow her on the bike. This is going to be fun!

Congrats on a great bike!
Thanks - I really do love it!

I put on some saddlebags last night. Wow - needed that! I didn't realize how much "stuff" I was able to carry around in the pet carrier on the Buddy:

Rain gear
Reflective vest (I wear when it's raining, too)
towel
camera
hair brush
lock w/6' chain

And my helmet fit inside the rear trunk!
Now I have to carry it around again.

BTW: Every accessory for the MC costs over $200 :( Ouch...I have already picked out about $5k in stuff I want to put on, too! DOH! Someone please take away my AMEX!!!!! ;)
